IAFF Disaster Relief Info

Brother and Sisters,

The IAFF can assist L-341 members in a couple ways. We have catastrophic Disaster Relief in the form of $500. To be eligible an IAFF member must have suffered catastrophic damage to their primary place of residence that would make the residence uninhabitable, such as roof damage, structural damage, or flooding. Being displaced from the residence due to power loss would not qualify. A disaster relief form must be filled out, signed, and turned in. The disaster relief form will need to be turned in to the local. We can figure out the best way to do that. We can issue either a check or make a direct deposit.
Also, if any member needs assistance with tree removal or debris we can help with that. We will have firefighter teams from across the state of Texas ready to assist.
We have a shelter set up in LaMarque and will operate out of it. The TSAFF is assisting us with that effort.
